"I Want MotoGP back to America

Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director Lin Jarvis, had big dreams for MotoGP return staged in Indonesia.
Therefore, he asked for encouragement from all sides, including the Honda team, in order to urge Dorna (MotoGP rights holders) to realize these targets. We've been told about it officially to Drona and requested strong support to the Honda, including Yamaha's own, that race in Indonesia could be implemented as soon as possible. I hope the Sentul Circuit can be modified, or there is a new circuit in Indonesia in the future. But of course, this also depends on the Government of Indonesia, "said Jarvis, Saturday (06/25/2011), ahead of the MotoGP race at Assen Circuit, Netherlands.

"So, I asked for support from the media and also from industry such as Yamaha and Honda, as well as the Federation of Motorsport Indonesia so that MotoGP could soon return to Indonesia."

Jarvis also hope there are riders Indonesia that could arise in the arena of world motor racing, although not directly to the most prestigious class, MotoGP. He hoped the Indonesian young talent can appear first in the lowest class, Moto3-which replaces the 125cc class next season, got the attention of the Yamaha and Honda.

Indeed, the Sentul Circuit had seized the attention of the world when it became one of the organizers of MotoGP (500cc class at that time still). However, it only lasts until the end of 1997 and thereafter MotoGP never again return to the country.

In an interview in the hospitality Yamaha, Jarvis also spoke on the condition his team now compared to when there is Valentino Rossi. According to him, this time a very harmonious relationship internally because there was no tension between the rider.

"It is very different position when Jorge and Valentino a team, compared with now, because there are two riders are tough competition resulting in a hard internally. It was good, but sometimes can create a difficult situation," said Jarvis.

"But now, Lorenzo was a champion and Spies continues to grow. So, team harmony is maintained because of good relations between the two riders. This is very important for the integrity of a team in a live competition.

"Regarding our current position (in the standings), I was a little disappointed because we finally had to go down. But it might be good for the rider because it is easier to pursue than to defend. Moreover, competition is still very long."

Based on the calendar, this season there will be 19 series, and the Dutch Grand Prix is ??the seventh series. From the total of the race, Repsol Honda rider, Casey Stoner, topped by collecting 136 points, followed by Lorenzo with 108 points. Meanwhile, Ben Spies, who won the Dutch Grand Prix, now in the order of 6, which stood at 61 points.

Spies wins the GP at Assen

Spies wins the GP at Assen

Spies wins the GP at Assen

Triumph Ben Spies, Casey Stoner closes in seconds and extends the overall standings, another podium for Andrea Dovizioso, Rossi fourth, sixth, comeback, Jorge Lorenzo, another big mistake for Marco Simoncelli.
Under a sky heavy with rain, but with the dry track from start to finish, the Dutch GP, once again, gave no emotions, but after a few turns, when Simoncelli has lost control of his Honda, crushing the innocent Lorenzo . Both are then divided, with Jorge sixth and ninth Simoncelli. DOMAIN SPIES Spies’ victory was never in question: as proof, the Superbike World Championship has hammered on the fast times, despite the intense cold that has forced all drivers to Starting with both the soft tires. He had seen evidence that the Yamaha was competitive here and the great comeback of Lorenzo confirms this: if you had not fallen on the first lap, the M1 would have done twice, because Jorge has turned in fast times. Crossed the finish line as world champion he thundered: “I was the race direction, one as Simoncelli would withdraw the license.” DOVI CONSISTING The inconsistency, unfortunately, does Simoncelli par with the great consistency of Dovizioso, who was the third podium in four races, second in a row. The Dovi finished rather detached from the first, but halfway through the race has kept pace with Stoner, and then slow down because of tire problems. Andrea is now only 9 points from second place in the league. DUCATI RED FIRST difficult after qualifying, Valentino Rossi in the race was, once again, more effective than in the test. Placing fourth, is definitely a good result as it was playing the game, but the gap – 30 “684 in 26 laps – it is still very high: the road is still long. Do not forget, however, that the course is in the worst possible conditions for the Ducati bike and finish with a never used it before in front of teammate is at least satisfactory. It ‘clear, however, that Rossi and Ducati dream of other results. THE FIRST COMMENTS Ben Spies : “It ‘really great to win with these colors, in a memorable day for Yamaha. Here my M1 was fantastic and I was able to push hard from beginning to end, thanks also to the team, which worked really well. ” Casey Stoner : “It ‘been a difficult weekend for us and this morning’s warm up we wanted to make changes that we are able to do only in part. In the race, however, went better than in the test: when there was the incident in the first few corners, I do not understand what had happened, but took UNPO Spies’ lead, while I was more conservative. I wanted to get there, but today he was simply too strong for me, second place is an excellent result. Andrea Dovizioso : “I am very happy. We arrived on the grid with rain tires, but the track was almost completely dry. I had to mount the soft front tire, but for my riding style is better than the harsh, aggressive, because I brake up into the curve. So, after some ‘speed took too many risks and I left to go Stoner, but then also showed a problem in the rear, with so much bounce. I feared something had happened, but fortunately Valentino was quite detached. Another podium finish is fine, just missing the last step. MOTO2 After a spectacular race, Marc Marquez won a solo in front of Kenan Sofuoglu and Bradley Smith, with Alex De Angelis fifth and sixth Mattia Pasini. The world championship points leader Stefan Bradl crashed three laps from the end, while he was in 11th position: now his advantage is down to 57 points on Marquez, now second in general. 125 second win of his career for Maverick Vinales, very good at taking off when it started to drizzle: while its rivals raised their arms asking the race direction to stop the race, he continued on the gas. Then, as the pilots have completed their 15th round – or two thirds of the race, the regulatory minimum to give a perfect score – Grand Prix course was stopped with the red flag. Salom and Gadea completed the podium. Table B. 1SPIES Yamaha Factory RacingLap 26 2STONER C. +7,697 Repsol Honda Team Repsol Honda Team 3DOVIZIOSO A. +27,506 +30,684 4ROSSI V. Journalists give an opinion on Rossi and Ducati

Journalists give an opinion on Rossi and Ducati

Journalists give an opinion on Rossi and Ducati

ASSEN – no point in hiding behind a finger on the Ducati and Valentino Rossi all odds I was wrong. Honestly, I was convinced that Valentine would have fared better, as I did not think that the Ducati would have been capable of a response so fast. Now it has arrived at Assen GP11.1, deeply modified the frame and, consequently, in the engine, I’m not sure what to expect. So I decided to avoid yet another fool, and I asked the opinion of Italian journalists who follow the MotoGP World Championship, asking them two questions: 1) Did you expect a response so rapid and so important by the Ducati? 2) From now on forward do you expect better results from Valentino Rossi?

Here is the result of my mini-survey.
PHILIP Falsaperla (BBC)
1) was not quite imagine such a thing. Remaking a motorcycle from scratch in mid-season for a small house like the Ducati is something unpredictable and perhaps the result of an offensive strategy that goes beyond the limits of logic.
2) the psychological aspect can certainly have a positive influence , as well as having to prove something important. But I think that changing the character of a motorcycle with some moves can not be: this bike was to be 2012 and in very difficult times (during the presentation of Madonna di Campiglio, note) had been told that the revolution would not be a GP12, but a simple evolution. Probably there will be improvements, but the gap is wide: to recover up to win I think is very difficult. It is perhaps easier to approach the podium. ”

PAUL SCALERA (Corriere dello Sport)
1) A response so rapid it was a surprise, though the last month and a half all the tests were made ??with the GP12 think that, at least, would try to use the developments on the GP11. I did not expect even did debut a completely new bike, which may make some big steps forward, but also great risks.
2) will start a little ‘difficult, but if you have taken this decision so risky, and certainly expensive although, on this aspect, Filippo Preziosi (the engineer technical director of Ducati Corse, nda) has minimized, meaning that they have had some positive feedback: a minimum improvement would not do so.

GUIDO MEDA (Sport Mediaset)
1) I did not expect a reaction from Ducati so speedy. Stupidly, though: I should have thought, I should have remembered the words that Valentino has said several times during this season, how good is this group of work, like Ducati are more reactive. We had said that there was no comparison with the Japanese and he was right.
2) No. In the sense that I think it’s fair to have a modicum of patience. I expect they get better results, but not immediately. I expect him to have a better feeling with the bike, perhaps will go well at Mugello, where he has already shot with a similar motion with the 1000. But here at Assen is not certain that you can expect to win or wins hands down: it would be folly.

MAXIMUM ANGELETTI (Rai)
1) In part, I expected a reaction from the Ducati I was surprised at the lack of answers. A company like Ducati, being small, has made ??technology his best weapon and I was amazed that put her in the field so I’m not very surprised by this technological response.
2) Rossi is unknown: it is up to date not just that feeling. A Valentine certainly not missing the class, technique, courage, but lack the confidence, confidence with the bike. I hope that with this news we can find it: we will see the results immediately. ”

Carlo Pernat (grid, Capirossi’s manager)
1) It was in a violent reaction of the Ducati. I did not expect a total reaction, because here we are talking about a complete bike. Being a small company is a lean, this is a good thing.
2) Hard to say if the results will come. Valentino is still the strongest rider of all, but when you have no feeling with an engine is very hard to catch him. It will be a challenge. It is very difficult to get the best of the first six races, especially not with regard to the position but the gap: the battle is won if the gaps from the first fall.

ALBERTO PORTA (Sport Mediaset)
1) I did not expect a reaction so imposing and so much substance. We expected a significant step forward: it was made ??a leap into the future, returning to the present with the engine 800.
2) I am convinced that Valentino will be able to obtain better results, because the feeling that is created between rider and bike, to the Beyond performance, counts for a lot: the GP12, Valentino has been found well, now it is to recreate the chemistry between the bike and rider, we hope it is enough to see him on the podium.

ALEN STICKERS (Mediaset Premium)
1) I did not expect quite such a reaction. Only the Ducati, the Italian mentality, could do such a thing: they did well, even in the future.
2) Difficult to reach the results already in this race, because it serves so long to fix a motorcycle. By the end of the season, however, there will be improvements and we see constantly in front of Valentino.

Marco Masetti (Freelance Journalist)
1) A surprise, vastly superior to any provision-
2) I expect better results, because this is a bike that feels his own, while the other, the GP11 has called the daughter of other drivers: so rejected, it was his fault!

Female Rider to Race Moto2 at Assen

The Mapfre Aspar Moto2 team has named Elena Rosell the replacement rider for the injured Julian Simon in the June 25 Moto2 race at Assen.

Rosell will become the first woman to ever race in the Moto2 class and the first in any Grand Prix road racing class since Katja Poensgen competed in the 250cc class during the 2003 season. Rosell regularly races Stock Extreme class of Spain?s CEV championship, currently sitting 11th in the standings.

Other female racers who have competed in the Grand Prix World Championships include Tomoka Igata, Taru Rinne, Nikoletta Kovacs and Marketa Janakova.

Rosell will have a tough job filling in for Simon, the 2009 125cc GP Champion and runner up in the 2010 Moto2 Championship. Simon suffered multiple fractures in his right leg after a crash at the Catalan Grand Prix. Simon currently sits 5 in the 2011 Moto2 standings despite the crash at Catalunya and missing the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Simon is expected to be out for a while longer but it isn?t clear if Rosell or another rider will fill in for other upcoming rounds.

2011 MotoGP Assen Friday Round Up: Tire Talk, And 11.1 = 11.0

It's funny how the mood of the paddock can swing. There was much to talk about after qualifying on Friday - because race day is on Saturday here, a hangover of Assen's Dutch Reformed Church past - such as Marco Simoncelli's second pole, Casey Stoner's relatively lowly 3rd place, Jorge Lorenzo missing out on the front row twice in 7 races, Karel Abraham - yes, the kid with the rich daddy, or perhaps we should say the really, really fast kid with the rich daddy - being quickest of the Ducatis, and Valentino Rossi struggling with the GP11.1 just as much as he did with the GP11.0. But instead, all anyone wanted to talk about was tires.

The topic got chewed over by every rider, journalists moving from hospitality unit to hospitality unit to ask the same questions, and receive the same answers, more or less, the only variation being in the solutions offered. The problem, of course, is that the Bridgestones are simply too good. MotoGP's spec tires offer phenomenal levels of grip - in an offhand comment, Casey Stoner referred to 58 degrees of lean as "not that much" - with outstanding duration. It is common for riders to set their fastest laps in the second half of the race, the point at which the tires are supposed to be degrading and losing grip.
