Casey Stoner topped the timesheets for the third session running at a dry and sunny Silverstone, but his lead is starting to shrink. San Carlo Gresini's Marco Simonelli has cut the gap to the Repsol Honda man to under a quarter of a second, with Yamaha's Ben Spies another two tenths further back. Jorge Lorenzo was 4th fastest on Saturday morning, the gap to Stoner now a slightly more acceptable six tenths, while Cal Crutchlow continues to impress in 5th, finishing FP3 just ahead of Repsol Honda's Andrea Dovizioso.
